How to Fix Shrunken Clothes After Washing? Tips for Different Fabrics

Shrunken clothes after washing are a common problem, especially when the clothes are made of delicate fabrics that do not react well to heat and intensive washing. Fortunately, there are simple ways to stretch shrunk clothes and restore their original size. Here are effective techniques for different types of fabrics.

1. Wool and knitwear

Wool and knits are very prone to shrinking in hot water or after heavy washing. To stretch a shrunk wool garment, try this method:

Soaking in water with hair conditioner or baby shampoo

1. Preparation of the solution : Fill a bowl with lukewarm water and add a few tablespoons of hair conditioner or mild baby shampoo. The conditioner or shampoo will soften the fibers, making them easier to stretch.
